The Stutsman County Water Resource Board is comprised of 5 members with one alternate appointed by the County Commission. The Stutsman County Water Resource Board’s purpose is to provide for the management, conservation, protection, development, and control of water resources and for the prevention of flood damage in the watersheds of Stutsman County and thereby to protect and promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the people of Stutsman County. Prior written approval for projects involving any drainage or obstruction of water must be secured from either North Dakota Water Commission or the Stutsman County Water Resource Board. If you are unsure if your project requires approval, please feel free to contact the State Water Commission or the Stutsman County Water Resource Board. This approval is in addition to any approval required by USDA, FSA (formerly ASCS), NRCS (formerly SCS), or any other state or federal agency. Meetings are held the last Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM.
