It is my honor to run for Sheriff of Stutsman County After receiving enough write-in votes during the primary election, I decided it was my civic duty to pursue the possibility of serving Stutsman County as your Sheriff. I have a clear vision of how the Sheriff's Department can best serve the citizens of this area. I am running for Sheriff because I care deeply about the citizens of this county and believe I have the gifts and abilities to serve you well as Sheriff. Nevertheless, some have asked why I was previously terminated from the department. The truthful answer is that while there were various allegations made regarding my conduct, the North Dakota Post Board and Job Service North Dakota cleared me of any wrong doing. This is public record. Therefore, I honestly cannot tell you why I was terminated other than to say there were two very different interpretations of standards, policies and procedures. My case was reviewed and upheld by the North Dakota Post Board I recognize that some individuals reached the false conclusion that I was guilty based on the fact that I sought legal counsel. This is not accurate. I was aware that my job was in jeopardy; and,I made the decision to seek professional assistance. I relied on my attorney's expertise to guide me through a stressful and uncertain process. Again, all of the above information can be verified through public records.
